Dr. Shawn Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University in 1999. That same year he began his doctorate training at Temple University College of Dentistry. While in dental school he was chosen to complete a concurrent Masters of Business Administration.

In 2003, Dr. Davis completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and was accepted into the University of Oklahoma’s prestigious program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During his residency, Dr. Davis received training in multiple surgical and medical disciplines including internal medicine, anesthesiology, pathology, general surgery, management of neck and facial trauma, craniofacial surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, distraction osteogenesis, orthognathic surgery, implant surgery, and facial cosmetic surgery. During his final year at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Davis was chosen to serve as Chief Resident in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Davis continues to participate in resident education at the University of Oklahoma where he serves as a guest lecturer. During his residency, Dr. Davis was involved in multiple extracurricular and leadership activities to help enhance his knowledge and surgical skills. He has served as a member of the leadership committee of the Resident Organization of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. As the District V Representative and a member of the ROAAOMS executive committee, Dr. Davis helped create the American Associate of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Pocket Reference Guide. This text is now given to all residents who enter Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency and is used by surgeons across the country. In addition, Dr. Davis has lectured at numerous dental schools throughout the United States.

Dr. Davis attends and lectures at multiple meetings each year to provide cutting-edge technology and techniques for the benefit of his patients. He is also a founding board member of Seattle Study Club of Southern Utah and the Spear Continuing Education Study Club.

Dr. Davis is the team surgeon for facial trauma in the sports medicine department at Utah Tech University.

Dr. Davis grew up in Idaho and northern Utah and has lived in St. George for the past sixteen years. He and his wife are the proud parents of three children. In his spare time, Dr. Davis enjoys sports, reading, camping, and spending time with his family. He was also voted “Fittest Doctor” in St. George Health and Wellness Magazine.

Dr. Davis welcomes patients from all over southern Utah including St. George, Cedar City, Hurricane, Mesquite NV, Page AZ, and bordering communities.
