Full-Arch Restoration

For a Complete and Healthy Smile

Whether you have multiple missing or failing teeth, or are missing all of your teeth, a full-arch restoration can restore the functionality and aesthetics of your smile. As an ideal alternative to traditional dentures, full-arch restoration uses as few as four dental implants to secure a custom-made prosthesis that is natural-looking and allows you to eat, drink, and talk as you can with natural teeth.

At Shawn B. Davis, DMD, Oral & Facial Surgery Institute, Dr. Davis possesses decades of expertise in helping patients find a complete smile. Contact our practice in St. George, UT to learn more about how a full-arch restoration can change your quality of life and foster a confident smile that you can show to the world.

Benefits of Full-Arch Restoration

Unlike removable dentures that require special care and can be a hassle when engaging in day-to-day activities, full-arch restoration is simple to care for. Simply brush and floss like you would with natural teeth.

Full-arch restoration doesn’t just give you a beautiful smile; it gives you a healthy and functional smile that allows you to drink, eat, and talk with the knowledge that your prosthetic is secure.

Removable dentures need to be replaced every few years. Not so with full-arch restoration. Because implants fuse with the jaw bone, this tooth replacement option provides a long-lasting solution.

By using dental implants to secure the full-arch restoration, the jaw bone will remain strong, preserving your facial structure.

Full-Arch Restoration Procedure

Before your procedure, you will meet with Dr. Davis to discuss your goals and concerns, receive a comprehensive oral exam, and learn more about your treatment options. Your surgeon will take 3D scans of your mouth to help inform the procedure.

When you come in for your procedure, you will receive anesthesia. After you are comfortable, Dr. Davis will begin by extracting any remaining teeth if needed. Then he will surgically implant dental implants into your jaw bone.

Following the initial surgery, you will have a few months of healing to allow the implants to fuse with your jaw bone in a process known as osseointegration, which will provide a stable foundation for your prosthetic. Once the healing process is complete, you will receive your final, and permanent prosthesis, specifically designed to match your needs and provide the most life-like appearance possible.

Types of Anesthesia

Depending on your procedure, you will receive one of the following forms of anesthesia to ensure your comfort.
